Be the change that you want to see in the world

Britt Bravo recently started a Ning site for Change Bloggers, and here she asks the question: Are we BEING the change?
By creating blogs and participating in the onling social networking community of folks who are trying to make a difference in the world, does it make a difference? Good question. I think I’ll ponder and post an answer. Care to join the community?

Seeing how bloggers are utilizing their words and communities to change the world is inspiring. I just started blogging about 2 months ago and our analytics show we have really good loyalty. Our Kampaign is called Show U Kare and (like all bloggers) I’m trying to get more awarness for my blog. I’m signing up on Changebloggers and putting a link to this blog in my next edition (Monday 9/15).

I don’t think talk is cheap – there is some value even if to only inspire or rejuvenate others into continuing on. Taking action sometimes feels better. However, I would argue everyone needs to stop, think and talk more about what they invest their time in before so quickly writing the check, investing time or otherwise contributing. Make sure it’s a wise move, make sure the effort, resources are well placed. In short, I believe blogging will help change the world because the dialog, collaboration will help insure we do a better job in our philanthropic efforts while inspiring people to join or continue their efforts.
